Documents Required for Divorce Proceedings

The following documents are required to initiate the divorce process under the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955:

• ID Proof: Aadhar Card, Passport, Voter ID, or any other government-issued ID.
• Marriage Certificate: Proof of marriage to verify the union.
• Wedding Card: A copy of the wedding card can be used as additional proof.
• Joint Photo of Marriage: A photograph from the marriage ceremony.
• 2 Passport Size Photos: Both spouses will need to submit two passport-size photographs.
